Abstract
This article continues the tradition of publishing an annual conference “plenary” article. The Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), this journal’s sponsoring organization, met in person from July 10–14, 2023 for its 36th annual conference, co-hosted by Centro de Estudios Para el uso de la Voz (CEUVOZ) for their Second International Meeting of Voice and Speech. VASTA and CEUVOZ members and delegates met in La Paz, Mexico, for “Integraciones Hemisféricas/Hemispheric Integrations: Theoretical Frameworks for the Future of Vocal Practice and Pedagogy.” There was also an online element to the conference, with member presentations made available on a digital platform. The following reflections seek to record some of the thought-provoking material presented online and in-person, and capture some of the enlivened discussion generated by the in-person conference and share them with members unable to attend.
