Description

An engraved pictorial bookplate on sepia paper with black ink for the Yale University Library. This bookplate is "To the Memory of David Brooks M.A. A graduate of Yale 1768 who fought with Washington and of his son Major General Micah Brooks who fought in the war of 1812". Below this information is the Yale seal and a banner that says "Gifts of their descendant. Florence Brooks-Aten". On both sides of the information are soldiers standing straight with a gun in their hand. On top is an image of a building, perhaps the library, surrounding by leafless trees.
