Description
An engraved pictorial bookplate on light sepia paper with black ink for Martin Herbert Eisenhart, an alchemist. An older man with a long beard is holding a book in one hand and a magnifying glass in the other. He is looking at the container sitting over a flame on the desk in front of him. Inside the border are calligraphic leaves, books, a Princeton University sigil, golf clubs, organ pipes, and a Massachusetts Institute of Technology crest. Behind him are books on a shelf, and an open window overlooking a pastoral plain with livestock grazing.
