Description
An engraved armorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink for Barrett Wendell. The frame is a wondow with a unique image as the view. There's a knight's helmet with a ship on top of it. there are black and white calligraphic leaves flowing like water. In one of the squares there is a small image of a ship and two anchors crossing like an X. There's a banner that says "Evert Iansen Wendell Regerenden Dvaken" dated 1656.
