Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on white paper for the Boston Public Library. It features a central oval frame with a portrait of Robert Charles Billings. The frame is set within an architectural structure and is adorned with a floral garland. The text "FROM THE INCOME OF THE ROBERT CHARLES BILLINGS FUND" is inscribed below the portrait. At the top, the bookplate is labeled with "No." followed by a space presumably for a number, and the library's name is below. The artist's initials "S.L.S." and the date "MAY 1903" are located at the bottom.
