Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on white paper. It features an oval portrait of a Native American man. The bottom of the bookplate is adorned with a banner that reads "EACH MAN THE MAKER OF HIS OWN FORTUNE" Above the portrait is an ornate archway with a fruit and foliage moJPEG, and below is a rectangle with the text "A COLLECTION OF AMERICAN HISTORY IN MEMORY OF CHARLES ELLIOTT PERKINS OF BURLINGTON IOWA." and is flanked by illustrations of pineapples. There is a banner that reads "HARVARD COLLEGE LIBRARY" and there is a seal that reads "VE RI TAS".
