Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an ornate frame with decorative elements. At the top, a ribbon banner displays the Latin motto “Domus et Orbis.” Below this, a classical profile portrait of a woman in a cameo is surrounded by an elaborate border of leaves and books. At the bottom, the text reads “Woman’s Club of Wisconsin.” The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley, Boston, 1899,” is located at the bottom center of the bookplate.
