Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an ornate frame with decorative elements. At the top, there is an illustration of a house surrounded by trees and foliage. Below this, a ribbon banner with the text “Ex Libris Zella Allen Dixson” is integrated into the design. The central image depicts another house with a garden and picket fence in the background. In the foreground, there are books and an open book with the title “Subject Index to Fiction.” The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley, 1901,” is located at the bottom right of the bookplate.
