Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an ornate, decorative frame with floral and scrollwork elements. At the top, a ribbon banner inscribed with “Ex Libris” is integrated into the design. The central image depicts a bookshelf filled with books, with an open book and additional stacked books in the foreground. Below the central image, the name “George S. Chambliss” is prominently displayed in a stylized frame. The artist’s initials “J.W.S.” and the year “1899” are located at the bottom center of the bookplate.
