Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an interior scene of a reading nook. The nook includes a cushioned bench with pillows and an open book, positioned beneath a large window with a scenic view of trees and mountains. To the left, there is an ornate side table with a vase of flowers and other decorative items. In the foreground, a footstool holds a stack of books. To the right, part of a fireplace and a mantel with vases are visible. The name “Levi W. Eaton” is inscribed below the scene in bold letters. The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley Del. Sc. 1898,” is located at the bottom right of the image.
