Negotiation is a key component of e-resources, affecting the outcomes of current and emerging content models. Yet, we rarely consider how identity influences advocacy and communication. By exploring the impact of gender and racial identity, we can address major blocks to negotiation, identify effective strategies, and 'shoot for the stars'.
