The Adler Planetarium, Chicago, Ill. The $1,000,000 Adler Planetarium comprising an observatory and astronomical museum the only one in U.S.A., is situated at the north end of the lake front island off Roosevelt Road. One of the features of the planetarium is the $90,000 Zeiss projector built in Jena, Germany. This instrument reflects the planets and stars on a vaulted dome. An audience of several hundred will be seated comfortably in the lecture hall.
