Our Lady of Guadalupe, San Miguel Church, Santa Fe, New Mexico – This card represents the picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe, of miraculous origin, that was discovered on the "tilma" –a long cloak used by Mexican Indians–of Juan Diego, an Indian shepherd, to whom Our Lady appeared in 1531, near Mexico City. This copy is over 300 years old; the crown here shown was used only in the very first copies of the original. An artist who made a special study of the pictures of Our Lady of Guadalupe declared that this is one of the best.
