U.S. Supreme Court, Washington, D.C. Supreme Court Building – The Supreme Court Building, on Capitol hill, is a superb edifice of glowing white marble, in design and proportions comporting with its dignity as the home of the Supreme Court of the United States. The west facade is here shown, with the broad stairway leading up to the portico with its imposing Corinthian Columns and sculptured pediment. The inscribed dedication reads: "Equal Justice Under the Law." The cost of the structure was $11,000,000.
