You sit on long seats facing the sidewalks and as you begin to climb impossible hills, the city seems to coast down upon you. You scale one height to find another before you, but finally arrive atop Nob Hill, location of the homes of early California millionaires. Today it is the location of Grace Cathedral, numerous magnificent apartment houses, exclusive clubs and famous hotels.
