No. 5 in Union oil Company's Natural Color Scenes of the West - Santa Barbara, romantic with the early history of California, is surveyed by its well-preserved Mission whose candles have never ceased burning since 1786. It was Father Junipero Serra who selected the commanding site on aged El Camino Real.
