Yosemite National Park, California Cathedral Rocks and Spires - On entering Yosemite Valley, one pressed by the massive granite walls form the Gateway. El Capitan towers on one side and the Cathedral Rocks and Spires on the other. The sharp jagged rocks of Cathedral Spires rise, 2,154 feet and Cathedral Rocks, 2,678 feet above the floor of the Valley.
