Courtyard, Sutter's Fort Sacramento, California - Founded in 1839 by Capt. John A. Sutter, the fort was built as a protection against Indians. Today it is a museum where are preserved relics of pioneer days. The beautifully kept gardens within the ivy-covered walls of the fort area riot of color and one of the most delightful spots in the city.
