Caption
From the parapet at El Tovar one can see the Battle Ship, Temple of Isis, the Plateau, Bright Angel Point, and Bright Angel Creek and Canyon. Bright Angel Canyon, deep as the main canyon, is second only to it beauty. "But form and color do not exhaust all divine qualities of the Canyon. It is the land of music. The river thunders in perpetual roar, swelling in floods of music when the Storm Gods play upon the rocks. Mountains of music swell the in rivers, hills of music below in the creeks, and meadows of music murmur in the rills that ripple over the rocks. All this is the music of the waters - the foundations of the earth have been wrought into a harp upon which the clouds of the heavens play."
