Description
An engraved pictorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink for Cheney Memorial Library. There's an image of the Hartford Hospital in 1854. There's an oil lamp and below it is a staff with two snakes coiled. There's banners on the sides of the image in Latin saying "Hic muti loquuntur Hic mortui vivunt" translating to "Here the dumb speak. Here the dead live" with an owl and books in the middle where the banners almost meet on the bottom.
