A pictorial bookplate in black ink on sepia-tinted paper. The design features a detailed illustration of a scholar seated at a desk, surrounded by books and drafting instruments. The circular central image is bordered by the text, "A writing "ghost" has often been, some famous man's "lifesaver" he also serves, unheard, unseen, Behold the "ghost" engraver!!"
